The Meguiar’s Detroit Autorama, presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts, will celebrate its 70th anniversary this weekend at Huntington Place, 1 Washington Blvd. in Detroit. Known as “America’s Greatest Hot Rod Show," the event is expected to draw 800 custom rides from builders around the world. Hours are noon-10 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday. Discount general admission costs $23, or $9 for children ages 6-12. 2. 'National Geographic Live'
Feb. 26 • Clinton Township
Explore how people are adapting to the changing planet during "National Geographic Live" at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Lorenzo Cultural Center on the Macomb Community College - Center Campus, 44575 Garfield Road in Clinton Township. Environmental anthropologist and filmmaker Alizé Carrère will take the audience to such places as the floating gardens of Bangladesh to the ice pyramids of northern India. 3. 'The Drowsy Chaperone'
Feb. 25-26 • West Bloomfield
The Nicely Theatre Group will present "The Drowsy Chaperone" at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at The Berman Center for the Performing Arts, 6600 W. Maple Road in West Bloomfield. The story centers around a man who, after putting on his favorite record from 1928, sees the music come to life in his living room. The show will run approximately 100 minutes with no intermission, is considered family-friendly and will continue the following weekend with three performances. ‘Assassins’
The Ringwald Theatre at the Affirmations LGBTQ+ Community Center, 290 W. Nine Mile Road in Ferndale, will kick off its Sweet 16th year with the not-so-sweet "Assassins," a controversial musical which centers on America's four successful and five would-be presidential assassins. ‘Three Men and A Tenor’

4. Shoppe Sylvan
Feb. 26 • Sylvan Lake
Shoppe Sylvan — an “eye-popping” makers market featuring 26 juried makers, bakers, designers and creators; live music; a “roaring” fire; and artisan food trucks — is scheduled for noon-4 p.m. Sunday at the Sylvan Lake Community Center, 2456 Pontiac Drive. 5. Cottage & Lakefront Living Show
Feb. 23-26 • Novi
The Cottage & Lakefront Living Show will take place from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday, noon to 8 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Suburban Collection Showplace, 46100 Grand River Ave. in Novi. Meet with designers, lakefront builders and realtors; shop for furnishings, boats and docks; look into vacation services and financing; and more.
