BIRMINGHAM — In November, Birmingham voters will have the opportunity to vote on a proposed amendment to the city code.

GROSSE POINTE PARK — Voters in Grosse Pointe Park will have several charter amendments to consider when they cast their ballots this fall.

FARMINGTON/FARMINGTON HILLS — This year’s local election process is already underway, as absentee ballots were set to be available Sept. 28.

ST. CLAIR SHORES — The St. Clair Shores Women’s Civic League hosted a town hall Sept. 20 in the City Hall chambers, giving the six candidates running for City Council a chance to tell the public more about who they are.

BIRMINGHAM — Birmingham residents will see a proposed senior millage on ballots Nov. 7 for the area’s aging population.

OAKLAND COUNTY — The filing deadline for the November election has passed and there will be several contested races in local cities.

ROCHESTER HILLS — The Nov. 7 election is drawing near, and the Rochester Hills mayor position and a couple of Rochester Hills City Council seats are open.

WARREN — A requested recount of some precincts from Warren’s at-large City Council primary election happened on Aug. 30 but yielded no change in the results.

NOVI — The Novi Community School District was able to ensure it will recieve its full share of funding for the foreseeable future Aug. 8 with the passage of its operating and recreational millages.

GROSSE POINTE PARK — There was plenty of buzz at the polls for the Aug. 8 Grosse Pointe Park City Council primary, but it had nothing to do with the candidates.

BERKLEY/CLAWSON — Voters in the Berkley and Clawson school districts both voted to approve bond proposals during the Aug. 8 election.

EASTPOINTE — After the results of the August primary, Eastpointe voters will elect a new mayor in the general election this November.

WARREN — Incumbent Warren City Clerk Sonja Buffa and Macomb County Commissioner Mai Xiong were the top two finishers in the Aug. 8 primary election among three candidates vying to become the city’s clerk for the next four years.

ST. CLAIR SHORES — On Aug. 8, St. Clair Shores voters approved the South Lake Schools bond proposal by a margin of 58.3% to 41.7%.

WARREN — George L. Dimas and Lori M. Stone were the two top vote-getters in Warren’s Aug. 8 mayoral primary election, setting up a November contest without an incumbent mayor for the first time in 16 years.

EASTPOINTE — Building updates throughout Eastpointe Community Schools are in the district’s future.

FRASER — Fraser residents went to the polls on Aug. 8 and decided not to pass a bond measure that would have allowed the city to levy a millage collection to improve local roads.

FARMINGTON HILLS — Two candidates have decided to enter the Farmington Hills mayoral race in November, and both are likely familiar names for some voters.

FRASER — On Tuesday, Aug. 8, Fraser residents will get to decide whether to approve a new bond measure dedicated to fixing the city’s local roads.

ST. CLAIR SHORES — South Lake Schools is asking voters to approve a bond proposal in the amount of $49,750,000 on Aug. 8.
