HAZEL PARK — Green Acres Park will once again host the Hazel Park Arts Fair, this year with more than 90 artists on-site. The fair will also feature the “Clazel Park Pottery Showdown” — a show within a show starring the Clawson Clay Guild.

NOVI — Learning disabilities such as dyslexia present numerous challenges that often prevent people from enjoying a good book. However, one Novi man is working to change this and make the magic of reading accessible to all.

SHELBY TOWNSHIP — The 42nd annual Shelby Township Art Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 9-10 at River Bends Park, 5700 22 Mile Road. Admission and parking will be free.

NOVI — The MiAnime Convention, a new event, was held at the Suburban Collection Showplace Aug. 2-3.

TROY — The theater group Ridgedale Players has announced its next play.

BEVERLY HILLS — Local theater educators are coming together to put on a show of their own this summer. The Oakland Theatre Project presents “Web of Murder,” by Jonathan Troy, with a cast and crew made up almost entirely of teachers and directors from Oakland and Macomb counties.
