St. Clair Shores boys swim teams win division meet titles

ST. CLAIR SHORES — The boys swim and dive teams from two local schools captured their respective division meet championships.

St. Clair Shores Lakeview romped to a fifth straight title, capturing the Macomb Area Conference Blue Division meet championship. The Huskies notched 382 points in the meet, which took place Feb. 21-23.

Marysville High was next with 241 points, followed by Warren Cousino (196 points), Lamphere/Clawson (136), Utica High (133) and Sterling Heights Stevenson (128).

The MAC Bronze Division meet was much more competitive, as St. Clair Shores South Lake edged Warren Mott 283-277 to claim the crown. The win gave the Cavaliers their first division meet title since 2009 and their best finish since taking second in the 2013 MAC Gold meet.

Roseville High finished third with 212 points, followed by Sterling Heights High with 204 points and Warren Fitzgerald (156 points).
