ST. CLAIR SHORES — When the St. Clair Shores Fighting Saints hockey team faces off with the Danville Dashers Nov. 11, there will be some very special people in attendance.

The Saints will host their first annual Military Appreciation Night when they take on the Dashers at 8 p.m. Nov. 11 at the St. Clair Shores Civic Center.

All veterans and active military can purchase tickets for $7, the same price as seniors and children. All other tickets are $10.

The game will feature a silent auction, along with a post game raffle. Two jerseys will be given away by way of the auction and raffle. Veterans and active military can participate in the auction and raffle for free. Proceeds from the raffle will go to the Vietnam Veterans of Michigan.

The Saints and Dashers will enter the game as the top two teams in the seven-team Federal Hockey League. Danville sits in first with a 2-1-1-1 mark. St. Clair, in its first season in the league, is 2-0-0-1. The Saints have scored 11 goals and allowed 7.
