Rochester High and Stoney Creek boys basketball meet with OAA Blue on the line

The top spot in the Oakland Activities Association Blue is on the line when Rochester High and Rochester Hills Stoney Creek boys basketball meet at 7 p.m. tonight at Rochester.

Stoney Creek enters at 3-0 in the division, one game ahead of Rochester and Oxford High.

The Cougars (9-1 overall) have won three straight games since their 66-63 loss to Rochester Adams in a crossover game.

The Falcons (5-6) are on a two-game winning streak of their own after losing three straight, including a 57-45 defeat to Adams in a crossover.

Rochester’s defense holds a slight edge, allowing 51.6 points per game, compared to Stoney Creek’s 52.7.

The Falcons will looks to slow down Stoney Creek’s offense, which is putting up 67.7 per contest and have scored 70 or more points four times.

Rochester will look to get its offense in gear. The Falcons have averaged 53.4 and have score 60 or more points once.
