Lake Shore bowler takes state title

ST. CLAIR SHORES — Lake Shore senior Dani DeCruydt won the Division 2 girls MHSAA bowling singles state championship March 27 at Century Bowl in Waterford.

DeCruydt defeated Flint Kearsley’s Allison Robbins in the two-game final 426-402. Adding to her list of accomplishments, the senior bowler was also named 2021 Miss Bowling by the Michigan High School Interscholastic Bowling Coaches Association. 

In the team competition the day before at Century Bowl, Lake Shore fell to eventual state champion Kearsley in the semifinals.
