Offensive keys: 
The Eagles have played nine full seasons of varsity football and have advanced to the state playoffs each time. 

Chandler Park put up 32.2 points per game last season and scored at least 42 points four times — the most occurrences since 2014.

Defensive keys: 
The Eagles were strong on defense in 2017, allowing just 15.4 points per game. 

On the way to the playoffs last season, Chandler Park recorded four straight shutout wins where the team outscored those foes 178-0. 

Three of the team’s four losses last season came to Detroit Public School League opponents.

at Monroe St. Mary Catholic Central (7-5) — 7 p.m. Aug. 23
It’s the first meeting between these programs. The Eagles haven’t won a season opener since 2013 when they beat Detroit Douglass. 

at Detroit Denby (6-3) — 4 p.m. Aug. 31
The Eagles have started the last four seasons with two straight losses, but they’ve always bounced back. Chandler Park has made the playoffs nine straight years. Last season, Denby won this Week 2 contest 20-8.

vs. Detroit Old Redford (5-4) — 7 p.m. Sept. 14
Chandler Park is 8-0 in this series. In the last two years, the Eagles have outscored Old Redford 92-6.

at Romulus Summit Academy North (5-4) — 7 p.m. Sept. 21
The Dragons are coming off their first winning season since 2011. Still, the Eagles ran away with it last year, beating Summit 46-0. 

at Southfield Bradford (2-7) — 7 p.m. Sept. 28
Chandler Park has dominated the series and leads 8-0. Last season, the Eagles prevailed 54-0.

at Beverly Hills Detroit Country Day (4-5) — 1 p.m. Oct. 6
The Yellowjackets are coming off their first losing season since 2005. These programs last played in the Division 4 state playoffs in 2015. Country Day took that contest 36-0.

at Warren Michigan Collegiate (12-1) — 7 p.m. Oct. 12
This game will be played at Madison Heights Bishop Foley. Overall, the Eagles are 6-4 in the series, but fell to Collegiate 46-20 last season.
