The Friday 5 — April 3-5

Your guide to staying at home this weekend

C&G Newspapers | Published April 1, 2020

For this week’s stay-at-home edition of the Friday 5, we asked C & G staffers for their top TV show recommendations for another weekend inside. Here are their suggestions:

1. 'Dark Side of the Ring'
"Dark Side of the Ring” on Vice. Behind-the-scenes stories from the world of professional wrestling.
Mike Koury, Staff Writer

2. '100 Humans'
“100 Humans” on Netflix. Three hosts ask questions about what it means to be human and conduct social experiments on 100 humans, a sample representing the population of the U.S. It’s hilarious, but also scientific — edu-tainment at its finest.

3. 'Schitt’s Creek' and 'Lego Masters'
“Schitt’s Creek” on Netflix offers great comic relief. A fun family show is Lego Masters” on Fox; my kids are always inspired to build after watching it.
— Mary Beth Almond, Staff Writer

4. PBS Masterpiece series
You can stream Masterpiece Theater on PBS. My favorites are “Downton Abbey,” “Poldark” and “Grantchester.” My new favorite is “My Brilliant Friend” on HBO — you don’t mind the subtitles ... it takes place in Naples in the ‘50s.
— Terry Oparka, Staff Writer

5. 'The Haunting of Hill House'
“The Haunting of Hill House” on Netflix. Easily the best show I watched in 2019, and season two is in the making. Such fabulous and surprising storytelling.
