Macomb County Santa Parade
Saturday, Nov. 17 • Downtown Mount Clemens

Santa Claus will make his annual arrival during the 43rd annual Macomb County Santa Parade at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, along Main Street in downtown Mount Clemens.

The parade will include marching bands, floats, community groups,  grand marshal Erica Peeples and, of course, the guests of honor — Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Downtown Rochester Festival of Trees
Nov. 17-18 • Rochester

The Downtown Rochester Festival of Trees will be held from from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, at the Rochester Community House, 816 Ludlow Ave. in Rochester.  

The annual holiday event will feature various seasonal home goods — including trees, wreaths, stockings, tablescapes and centerpieces — created and donated by metro Detroiters. All proceeds will benefit The Big, Bright Light Show in downtown Rochester.

Swedish Christmas Fair
Saturday, Nov. 17 • Farmington Hills

The Swedish Women's Educational Association of Michigan will hold its Swedish Christmas Fair from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at the Finnish Cultural Center, located at 35200 W. Eight Mile Road in Farmington Hills.

Enjoy Swedish food, glogg, personalized gingerbread cookies, live music, imported goods and crafts, and a children's craft corner. There will be a Lucia pageant at 11 a.m. and at 1 p.m. Admission costs $2, and is free for children younger than 12.

Couture for the Cure charity fashion show and vendor/craft expo
Sunday, Nov. 18 • Sterling Heights

The Couture for the Cure Foundation — a nonprofit organization devoted to raising money for families affected by childhood cancer — will host its second annual Couture for the Cure charity fashion show and vendor/craft expo Nov. 18 at the Wyndham Garden, 34911 Van Dyke Ave. in Sterling Heights.

Doors open at 3 p.m., with the show beginning at 5 p.m. Prior to the fashion show, attendees can explore a vendor expo, which opens at 10 a.m. and will include a silent auction and raffles. Money raised at the event will benefit families whose children are fighting cancer.

Grosse Pointe Theatre presents ‘The Lion King Jr.’
Nov. 17-18 • St. Clair Shores

Grosse Pointe Theatre will present its Youth on Stage production of Disney’s "The Lion King Jr." at 2 p.m. Nov. 17-18 at the South Lake High School auditorium, located at 21900 E. Nine Mile Road in St. Clair Shores.
