SOUTHFIELD — Police arrested a man for his second peeping offense recently.

According to a crime report, a woman told police that at around 2:15 a.m. July 29, she saw a man looking into her front bedroom window at her home on Spring Arbor Drive.

The woman caught the incident on her surveillance camera and provided a copy of the video to detectives investigating the incident.

Upon review of the video, the detectives determined that the man appeared to be the same local person convicted of peeping into windows last year.

Police said a similar incident was reported Aug. 1 regarding someone looking into windows July 26-29 in the same area.

On Aug. 23, police said, detectives and officers went to the suspect’s residence, where he was arrested and taken into custody without incident.

During his interview, the man was shown a video of himself looking into the victim’s window, and he admitted to the offense.

“Obviously, it was good to get this person off the streets,” police said in the report.
