Warren Regina defeated Birmingham Marian in the annual powderpuff football game Sept. 19 at Stevenson's Runkel Field in Sterling Heights.

Regina jumped out to a 14-0 lead before the teams traded touchdowns in a back-and-forth fourth quarter, with Regina eventually emerging victorious 21-12.

The contest marked the 50th powderpuff game for Regina.

Regina and Marian began squaring off in the annual tussle in 1981. Regina now leads the series 19-16, avenging last year’s 10-2 loss to Marian.
