Police search for missing Southfield teen

The Southfield Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing teen. 

According to a news release from Detective Lt. Jeffrey Jagielski, around 7:45 p.m. Dec. 11, police were dispatched to the 28000 block of North Lowell Court on a report of a missing juvenile. 

Police were advised that 16-year-old Jalen Spight had left the location voluntarily following an argument with his mom. 

Jagielski said Spight was last known to be in the area of North Villa Drive and Evergreen Road in Southfield. 

Spight is described as black and 6 feet 1 inch  tall, approximately 160 pounds. Police said he was last seen wearing a brown puffer jacket, a black T-shirt, black jeans and black shoes. He had his fingernails painted black and was wearing an earring in his left ear.
