Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect involved in an armed robbery at a local pharmacy.

According to police, the incident took place at around 8:45 p.m. May 10, when a suspect entered the CVS at 18130 10 Mile and entered an office in the back of the store that was occupied by a store employee.

“The suspect implied that he had a weapon and ordered the employee to give him money or he would shoot her,” Deputy Chief Nick Loussia said in a written statement.

Police said the store employee, who was fearful for her safety, complied with the suspect’s demands. The suspect then fled the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

The employee was not hurt during the incident, according to police. Officers surveyed the area for the suspect, but he was not located.
The suspect is described as a 30- to 40-year-old black male between 6 feet 1 inches and 6 feet 3 inches tall. He weighs about 220-240 pounds and was wearing a black baseball hat with “Detroit” on the front. He was also wearing a white T-shirt, a black jacket, black pants and black shoes, police said.

Anyone who can identify the suspect or who has any information regarding the armed robbery is asked to call the Southfield Police Department at (248) 796-5500.
