Motorcyclist dies after collision with RV

MACOMB TOWNSHIP — A 56-year-old Macomb Township man died after his motorcycle struck a motorhome June 7.

According to Macomb County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Renee Yax, Kevin Michael Emery was driving his Harley Davidson motorcycle west on 23 Mile Road, between North Avenue and Card Road, in Macomb Township at approximately 5:31 p.m., when a motorhome pulled out from a business and onto westbound 23 Mile Road.

The report indicates that “the motorcycle and the RV motorhome collided.” Emery died at the scene. The driver of the motorhome was not injured.

Yax states in the report that the victim was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.

The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating the incident. Additional information will be released when it becomes available.
