Missing Clawson child found safe

CLAWSON — Shortly before 9:30 a.m. July 3, the Clawson Police Department posted on its Facebook page that a 13-year-old, who had been missing, has since been found and is safe.

A day earlier, Clawson police had sought the public's help to find Jayshaun Prince, who police said had run out the back door of his home after a disagreement with family. Clawson police had said that he had been spotted the night of July 1 in the area of 13 Mile and Crooks roads in Royal Oak.

"Our detective bureau has confirmed that Jayshaun has been located and is safe. Thank you to all that shared our post," reads the Clawson Police Department's post July 3.

No other details were provided.
