SOUTHFIELD — Presidential candidate Joe Biden visited the Beech Woods Recreation Center in Southfield Oct. 16.

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer made an appearance at the event. A small group of supporters, about 20, gathered to greet Biden, who had a speaking engagement while on the campaign trail in Michigan.

The former vice president could be seen traveling north on Beech Road accompanied by Southfield police, Oakland County Sheriff’s Deputies and the Michigan State Police.
