WARREN — Warren police are looking for the driver of a silver 2009 Jeep Liberty who drove off after allegedly running down a pedestrian on Van Dyke Avenue north of Eight Mile Road Nov. 29.

Anthony Ray Marks, 63, of Warren, died of his injuries.

A cash reward of up to $2,500 has been offered through Crime Stoppers of Michigan for information leading to the arrest of the driver, who police said struck Marks at 7:46 p.m. at the Westminster Avenue crosswalk.

According to a bulletin produced for Crime Stoppers, the Jeep continued south into Detroit after the collision. Investigators believe the vehicle may be further identifiable by visible front-end damage.

Warren detectives spent the days that followed the collision compiling and reviewing available video evidence showing where the Jeep was before Marks was struck and where it traveled after. The investigation continued Dec. 4.
