HARRISON TOWNSHIP — Macomb County Sheriff’s Office officials have released the name of the woman who was found dead on Jefferson Avenue, near Shook Road, in Harrison Township early this morning.

The body of Danielle Labellarte, 33, of Warren, was observed by a motorist at approximately 5:15 a.m., according to officials.

A cause of death has yet to be determined, as the investigation remains ongoing, according to Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Sgt. Renee Yax. Initial reports stated that Labellarte was the victim of a hit-and-run.

In a report, Yax said that it was learned that Labellarte had been staying at the Ruth Motel, 34527 Jefferson Ave., with her boyfriend. The unidentified boyfriend has been taken into custody and is currently in the Macomb County Jail. Yax said a report will be presented to the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office today.
