ROSEVILLE — Michigan State Troopers rushed to the scene of a crash involving two cars on Interstate 94 near 12 Mile Road in Roseville Aug. 14.

The incident took place at approximately 6:30 p.m. State Police authorities said the driver of a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was driving eastbound on I-94 when he lost control of the vehicle and struck the median wall as well as a Ford SUV that was traveling westbound at the time.

“No cause for the driver losing control has been determined yet,” said Lt. Mike Shaw, of the Michigan State Police. “An investigation into the incident is being performed by State Police personnel.”

The driver of the Ford and the passenger inside the pickup truck suffered minor injuries that were treated at the scene, according to police. The driver of the pickup truck was transported to a nearby hospital and was listed in critical condition following the crash.

A portion of I-94 was closed at about 7 p.m. in order to clean up the crash scene; it reopened at approximately 11 p.m. State Police officials said there was no damage to the expressway.
