Bloomfield Township police are looking for a 14-year-old girl who went missing from Bloomfield Hills High School last week.

Lajoy Ross, a freshman at the school, was last seen on campus at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 9. According to Sgt. James Gallagher, the teen has a history of running away and was on a GPS tether.

An investigation led police to the 2900 block of Marshall in Southfield, where Ross’ tether was found in the yard. Police believe she is likely still in the metro Detroit area. She has previously been found in Oak Park.

“We’re working with police and her family for her safe return, which we hope will be very soon,” said Shira Good, director of communications and community relations for Bloomfield Hills Schools.

Ross was last seen wearing a gray shirt, a green-and-blue vest, dark blue jeans and white UGG boots. Anyone who has any information on her location is asked to contact Bloomfield Township police at (248) 433-7755.
