MACOMB COUNTY — Kimberly Drescher, associate broker at Real Estate One Shelby Township, and leader of The Macomb Home Team, has built her business around guiding homeowners through one of the toughest moves they’ll ever make: downsizing and starting their next chapter. Many of her clients are seniors or families helping a parent sell a longtime home.
“I really am passionate about working with the senior population,” she said. “I like to meet with people, see what their vision is and give them their options—no pressure.”

She also holds the Seller Representative Specialist (SRS), Pricing Strategy Advisor (PSA), Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE) and Accredited Staging Professional (ASP) designations.
Because many of her clients are sorting through decades of belongings or settling a parent’s estate, Kimberly offers a seller’s package that goes above and beyond pricing and paperwork. She connects clients with estate sale companies, donation pickup and moving services so they’re not left to figure it out on their own.
Clients get personalized service without getting lost in a large team. “It’s my son and me, and a couple of admins who work with us,” she said. For each listing, they line up professional photos, drone photography and a walk-through video, set up a personalized website and run online ads with full MLS exposure.
Right now, average days on market in Kimberly’s core areas are about a month, with roughly two-and-a-half months’ supply of inventory. “Even in winter, I’m listing homes and getting good buyer activity,” she said. Her listings averaged just nine days on the market last year. “Preparation is key,” she added. “It’s important to declutter, neutralize and prepack some items and get ready to sell the home.” She also urges sellers to avoid what she calls the biggest mistake: overpricing, which can leave a home on the market too long and cause buyers to lose interest.
