Novi Pet Expo set for Nov. 11-13

NOVI — The 17th annual Novi Pet Expo, presented by Pet Supplies Plus, will be held Nov. 11-13 at the Suburban Collection Showplace.

The 2022 Novi Pet Expo will feature new attractions and training workshops with Sara Carson from “America’s Got Talent.” A special feature stage, wiener dog races and national traveling acts will be among the new features and attractions.

Returning this year will be the Rock N Roll K9s agility demonstrations, the YouTube famous huskies of Gone to the Snow Dogs, and the Michigan Society of Herpetologists featuring more than 50 reptiles and amphibians. Guests will also be able to purchase a pet photo with Santa to benefit the nonprofit Pawsitive Impact for Pets.

Pets are welcome with proof of current vaccinations, but they must be kept on leashes.  Admission costs $12 for those ages 12 and older, $6 for children ages 6-11, and it is free for children ages 5 and younger.

The event is open 2-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11; 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12; and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13.

Friday is Senior Day, when ages 55 and older can receive discounted admission for $5. Guests can save $2 off the general full-price admission with a contribution of pet food or supplies for Detroit Dog Rescue.

Versiti Blood Centers of Michigan will be holding a blood drive during the expo. Donate blood inside the expo to receive a refund on the $5 parking fee, along with a gift card to Premier Pet Supply for use on a future visit to one of its stores.
