ROCHESTER HILLS — Leading Rochester Adams varsity baseball to the Oakland Athletics Association-Red league title and the school’s single-season wins record, senior Parker Picot was dominant on the mound and at the plate.

The Michigan High School Baseball Coaches Association took notice, naming Picot first team all-state in Division 1. MLive also named Picot to its Metro Detroit Dream Team.

“It was very awesome and very rewarding to see all my hard work pay off,” Picot said.

Picot sported a 7-1 record on the mound, holding a 1.16 earned run average in 42.1 innings pitched.

He was equally as impressive at the plate, slashing a .418 average with a 1.328 on-base plus slugging and 10 home runs, which tied for the school record.

“Something I felt improved the most this season was being able to adjust in the count and create quality at-bats,” Picot said.

His .500 on-base percentage contributed to his record-breaking 54 runs scored on the year.

Picot will continue his baseball career at the University of Alabama.
