We're looking for self-motivated, hard-working sales executives with a passion to help their clients grow their business.

Successful candidates will be responsible for growing existing revenue accounts, identifying new opportunities, and following up on potential leads for print ad schedules, inserts, direct mail cards and digital ads while exceeding defined revenue and new business targets.

C&G Newspapers has helped strengthen communities for more than 40 years. Two ingredients for a strong community are informed residents and a strong business district. We help strengthen communities by keeping its residents informed, and by providing businesses the resources and the opportunity to reach every home in their market. C&G's 19 newspapers are mailed to 567,464 homes in 47 communities every other week.

C & G Newspapers publishes 19 community newspapers in metro Detroit. The family-owned company has been publishing newspapers for more than 40 years and has realized success with its website, social media and email subscribers. Now C & G would like to find a social media coordinator with the creativity, communication skills and experience to optimize the presentation of C & G's content on its website and social platforms and increase its engagement with readers and advertisers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating content for a network of community newspapers across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
  • Creating and coordinating engaging content for social media, email and website audiences.
  • Tracking and analyzing social media statistics and working to maintain a growth strategy across multiple platforms.
  • Training co-workers to use social media in a cohesive and beneficial way.
  • Reporting on online reviews and feedback from readers.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism or marketing.
  • Experience managing social media business accounts.
  • Experience running Facebook ads and Google Ads preferred.
  • Excellent organization and planning skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work and communicate with a team.
  • Professional writing and editing experience.
