The Walled Lake Central girls bowling team had an impressive showing in the Division 1 state final March 1 in Muskegon.
The Vikings finished second overall, falling to Davison High 1347-1189 in the final.
Central beat Macomb Dakota in the semifinal 1215-1139 and Muskegon Mona Shores 1187-1144 in the quarters.
The Vikings qualified for the match play, finishing second in the qualifying block.
This marked the seventh straight year Central has qualified for the final.
Ashley Bickel, Sara Abraham, Kylie Hornsby, Bri Palarchio and Cara Krolikowski made up the varsity squad. Kristen Balint, Sarah Hoberman and Katie Carson were brought up from the JV for the championship.
Kevin Hysell and Ron Arnoldi coach the team.
