South Lake baseball wins district title

ST. CLAIR SHORES — The St. Clair Shores South Lake baseball team captured the Macomb Area Conference Bronze Division title in mid-May.

The Cavs added a Division 2 district title to their trophy case May 31 after  besting Center Line High 6-3 in a D-2 district title game at Center Line.

The Cavaliers (16-7 at press time) met South Lyon East in a D-2 regional semifinal after press time.  For more on regionals, visit our website at candgnews.com and see next week’s paper.

South Lake knocked off Warren Lincoln in a district semifinal to advance to the district championship game.

The St. Clair Shores Lake Shore baseball team saw its season end in an 8-1 loss to Harrison Township L’Anse Creuse in a D-1 district final May 30 at Roseville High. The Shorians, which end the season at 8-15, outlasted Warren Woods Tower 4-3 in 14 innings to advance to the district title game.

The St. Clair Shores Lakeview baseball team fell 4-3 to Grosse Pointe North in a D-1 district semi played May 31 at Lakeview. The Huskies end the season with an 8-18 mark.
