ROSEVILLE/EASTPOINTE — We may be nearing the midway point of summer, but there are still plenty of fun sports classes, camps and clinics offered by the Roseville-Eastpointe Recreation Authority for people of all ages.
Tennis lessons
Roseville High tennis coach Ross Fazio is giving tennis lessons each Wednesday from July 18 to Aug. 22. Two sessions will be offered each week from 6-7 p.m. for children 7 to 10 and 7-8 p.m. for 11 and up, including adults.
Lessons will take place at the Huron Park Tennis Courts. No previous tennis experience is required.
Participants should bring a tennis racket and one can of tennis balls.
The cost for the lessons (for the duration) is $50 for Roseville and Eastpointe residents, $60 for nonresidents.

Walk Michigan
This program is designed to encourage fitness and promote healthy lifestyles.
Walks take place beginning at 6 p.m. July 19 and July 26 at Veterans Memorial Park in Roseville. Participants will be entered to win a trip for two to Mackinac Island for the Labor Day Bridgewalk.

Girls volleyball camp
Roseville High School volleyball coach Tom Pfeifer will run a girls volleyball camp July 25-27 at Roseville High.
The camp is open to students in third through ninth grade. Grades apply to the 2012-13 school year. The skills camp will focus on fundamental development, along with game strategies.
Camp for students in third through sixth grade runs 4-6:30 p.m. Seventh- through ninth-grade camp goes from 6:30-9 p.m.
The cost is $40 for Roseville and Eastpointe residents and $50 for nonresidents.

Cheerleading camp
Roseville cheerleading coach Angela Panetta will run a summer cheerleading camp for elementary school-age girls.
The camp, set for 5:30-7:30 p.m. July 23-25 at the Roseville Recreation Center, is designed to teach fundamentals, various cheers, jumps and routines. Participants will cheer at a fall football game.
The cost is $40 for residents, $50 for nonresidents.
