Prep teams in district action

The Harrison Township L’Anse Creuse baseball team downed St. Clair Shores Lake Shore 8-1 to claim a Division 1 district title.

The game took place May 30 at Roseville High.

To advance to the district championship game, the Lancers outlasted Roseville High 8-7 in a semifinal May 30 at Roseville.

The Lancers (22-13) took on Sterling Heights Stevenson in a D-1 regional semifinal after press time. Check www.candgnews.com or www.mhsaa.com for updated playoff information.

The Clinton Township Clintondale baseball team saw its season end in a 10-0 loss to Richmond in a D-2 district semifinal played May 31 at Armada. The Dragons end the season at 7-16.

The Macomb Lutheran North baseball team saw its season end in a 15-4 loss to Madison Heights Bishop Foley in  D-3 district final. The Mustangs, 17-11 on the year, downed The Pontiac Academy for Excellence 19-0 to get to the district final.

Softball teams ousted in district round

The L’Anse Creuse softball team fell 10-4 to St. Clair Shores Lake Shore in a D-1 district championship game played May 30 at Roseville. The Lancers, which end the season at 21-12 and won the Macomb Area Conference Blue Division title for the second straight year, beat Roseville 7-0 to get to the district final.

Clintondale’s softball team saw its season end in a 10-0 loss to Richmond in a D-2 district semifinal May 31 at Armada. The Dragons end the season at 16-4.

The Lutheran North softball team fell 9-7 to Rochester Hills Lutheran Northwest in a D-3 district final May 31 at Lutheran Northwest. The Mustangs end the season at 10-17.

Lutheran North girls soccer falls in district final

The Lutheran North girls soccer team advanced to a D-3 district final, where it fell 4-0 to Pontiac Notre Dame Prep. The Mustangs, which end the season at 11-8, got to the district final with wins over Algonac and Armada.
