ROCHESTER — Oakland University's men's basketball program picked up its first win of the season with a 86-51 victory against Rochester College Nov. 30 at the O'Rena.
Oakland (1-7) never trailed in the game and took a 38-23 lead into the half.
Rochester College wasn't able to mount any serious threats to the Grizzlies in the second half, as a 12-pont deficit was the closest the Warriors came to cutting into Oakland's lead.
While Oakland's record may not look good right now, coach Greg Kampe doesn't seem to be panicking about the Grizzlies' start
"We don't think we're on the wrong track," he said. "There's no issue. (When) we play Wright State (a Horizon League opponent), that's when we start worrying about confidence and being on (the right) track."
Travis Bader and Duke Mondy each scored 31 points for Oakland.
The Golden Grizzlies are scheduled to play Ohio at 6 p.m. Dec. 7 at the O'Rena.
