Oakland County wrestling in search of its best

The 54th annual Oakland County Wrestling Tournament is just around the corner.
The event takes place at 4 p.m. Dec. 20 at Southfield High and Oxford High.
Grapplers who earn a spot in the quarterfinals after two matches on the first day will head to Oxford for the rest of the tournament Dec. 21. The action begins that day at 9 a.m.
At Southfield on day one, Novi Catholic Central, Livonia Clarenceville, Troy High, Ortonville Brandon, North Farmington, Berkley High, Clarkston High, Farmington Hills Harrison, Holly High, Milford High, Hazel Park High, Royal Oak High, Madison Heights Madison, South Lyon High, Novi High, Birmingham Brother Rice, South Lyon East, Ferndale High, Troy Athens and the host team will be in attendance.
The Oxford field includes Auburn Hills Avondale, Walled Lake Central, Rochester High, Waterford Mott, Lake Orion High, Orchard Lake St. Mary’s, Waterford Kettering, Bloomfield Hills High, Birmingham Groves, Rochester Adams, West Bloomfield High, Rochester Lutheran Northwest, Pontiac High, Walled Lake Western, Pontiac Notre Dame Prep, Lakeland High, Walled Lake Northern, Rochester Hills Stoney Creek and the hosts.
The cost of admission for spectators is $5 per day.
