Posted October 30, 2013
The Macomb Lutheran North boys soccer team was still alive in the 2013 Michigan High School Athletic Association Division 3 state playoffs after the Mustangs knocked off Clawson 2-1 in overtime Oct. 25 to win a regional championship.
The regional final took place at Farmington High.
To advance to the regional final, the Mustangs (13-4-2) bested Grosse Ile 1-0 in a regional semifinal that took place Oct. 23 at Farmington High.
Lutheran North (13-4-2) battled Flint Powers Catholic in a D-3 state semifinal after press time. The winner of that match gets the winner of a White Hall/Grand Rapids South Final in a D-3 state title match set for Nov. 2 at either Troy High or East Kentwood.
