Local girls soccer teams fall in playoffs

The season came to an end for the Roseville and East Detroit high girls soccer teams in the district round of the 2014 Michigan High School Athletic Association Division 1 state playoffs.

The Shamrocks suffered a tough 2-1 loss to Detroit Cass Tech in a match played May 28 at St. Clair Shores Lakeview. East Detroit ends the season at 4-9-0.

The Panthers fell 8-0 to Grosse Pointe South in a D-1 district quarterfinal played May 27 at South. Roseville finishes 2014 with a 2-13-0 mark.
