The West Bloomfield High volleyball team has been a success on and off the court. The Lakers recently volunteered their time at Gleaners Community Food Bank in Pontiac.

West Bloomfield High volleyball got back on the winning side of things, sweeping Southfield High in three games Sept. 11 at home.
The Lakers won 25-13, 25-13 and 25-18. Senior middle hitter Tara Heald led the way with 12 kills and 15 digs. Junior attacker Jordan White added seven kills and five aces.
“It was a great overall effort,” West Bloomfield coach Julian Wargo said.
Off the court, the Lakers have also been making a difference. On Aug. 20, the team volunteered at the Gleaners Community Food Bank in Pontiac.
