Lake Shore volleyball team wins War in the Shores title
Shorians keep city crown for fifth straight year

ST. CLAIR SHORES — EArlier this year, St. Clair Shores Lake Shore volleyball coach Margaret Kwapicz set a goal of ensuring the Shorians would remain city champions.
The Shorians did just that, winning the War in the Shores title for the fifth straight year after downing St. Clair Shores Lakeview and St. Clair Shores Oct. 15 in matches played at Lakeview.
The Shorians (16-4-2, 5-1 Macomb AreaConference Gold) knocked off both the Huskies and Cavs 2-0 to win the city title.
Lakeview (6-1, 6-0 MAC Silver) bested South Lake (7-5, 1-4 MAC Silver) 3-0 to advance to the title match.
Lake Shore hosts St. Clair High at 6 p.m. Oct. 17.
Lakeview, which is in first place in the MAC Silver, welcomes Clawson for a match slated for 6:30 p.m. Oct. 17.
South Lake takes on Clinton Township Clintondale at 6 p.m. Oct. 17 at South Lake.
