ST. CLAIR SHORES — Grosse Pointe South girls basketball is headed to the state semifinals for the second consecutive season courtesy of a 63-58 victory against Bloomfield Hills Marian in a Class A quarterfinal battle March 12 at St. Clair Shores Lake Shore.
South next takes on Dexter High at 2:50 p.m. March 15 at the Breslin Center, located on the campus of Michigan State University.
The winner advances to the state finals, scheduled for noon March 16 against the winner of Grand Haven High or Westland John Glenn, also at the Breslin Center.
