
Prep golfers in action in MAC tournaments; North and Marysville take White and Blue titles

KIMBALL, Mich. — The Grosse Pointe North girls golf team won the Macomb Area Conference White Division meet in its first year in the division.
North (9-0, 8-0 MAC White) tallied a 344 to win the five-team match. Ali Scoggin paced North with a 79.
The meet, along with the MAC Blue meet, took place Sept. 26 at the Fore Lakes Golf Course in Kimball.
Utica Stevenson and Macomb Dakota scored 377 and tied for second. Lindsey Hess earned the low score for the Titans with an 87.Emma Hill led the Cougars with a 94.
Utica Ford (404) and Fraser (423) rounded out the field.
Marysville wins MAC Blue meet
The Marysville High girls golf team won the MAC White Division tournament for the second straight year.
The Vikings, with an 8-0 record — all in the MAC White — played their way to a 367 in winning the tourney. Carly Cruickshank led Marysville with an 85.
Macomb L'Anse Creuse North finished second with a 381. Kaylee McPharlin paced the Crusaders with an 86.
St. Clair Shores Lakeview (426) finished third, followed by Port Huron High (434) and Clawson High (469).
