MAC honors top boys basketball players

METRO DETROIT — With another boys basketball season in the books, the Macomb Area Conference recently released its annual All-League list to honor players for their efforts this season. Following is a list of the players who made the list.

 

MAC Red
Macomb Dakota (9-1) and Grosse Pointe South (8-1) finished atop of the Macomb Area Conference Red Division. Following them was Sterling Heights Stevenson (5-2), Clinton Township Chippewa Valley (7-3), Roseville High (4-5) and Macomb L’Anse Creuse North (3-5). Dakota’s Josh Hines was named league MVP.

The All-League team in the Red Division consists of Mak Manciel, Stevenson; Devin Lily and Cephus Harris, Chippewa Valley; Jason Hunter, Roseville; Tymias Williams and Ethan Mair, Dakota; Will Johnson and Anthony Bernard, Grosse Pointe South; and Jemari Mack, L’Anse Creuse North.

 

MAC White
Utica Eisenhower finished atop the White Division with a 5-5 conference record. Following the Eagles was Grosse Pointe North (5-6), New Haven High (4-5), Romeo High (3-4), Warren Mott (0-6) and Utica Ford (0-9). New Haven’s Brent Wiles was named league MVP.

The All-League team in the White consists of Ty Messner and Timothy Kewley, Romeo; Emmanuel Hunter and Keyondre Gamez, New Haven; Adam Ayrault and Jordan Shepherd, Grosse Pointe North; and Sam Grace, Preston Crum and Jackson McHale, Eisenhower.

 

MAC Blue
St. Clair Shore Lake Shore ended up 11-0 and atop the Blue Division. Following Lake Shore was Port Huron Northern (7-3), Utica High (4-6), Fraser High (1-4), Warren Cousino (1-8) and New Baltimore Anchor Bay (1-8). League MVP went to Lake Shore’s Nick Olmeda.

The All-League team in the Blue consists of Tyler Jamison, Ryan McNeil and Cass Bobrowski, Port Huron Northern; Jalen Jackson and Elijah Moore, Lake Shore; Rory Montreuil, Utica; Ryan Greenberg, Anchor Bar; Carson Dych, Cousino; and Angelo Adams, Fraser.

 

MAC Gold
Eastpointe High took home top honors in the Gold Division with a 9-2 record. Following the Shamrocks was Warren Fitzgerald (7-4), Warren Woods Tower (6-4), Harrison Township L’Anse Creuse (5-5), St. Clair Shores South Lake (5-5) and St. Clair High (1-9). South Lake’s Artez Weathington was named league MVP.

The All-League team in the Gold consists of Caron Williams, L’Anse Creuse; Tayshawn Trent, Keelan Stricklen, Mikoy Meeker and Kumari Bennett, Eastpointe; and Donavan Brownlee and Chris Kyles, Warren Woods Tower.

 

MAC Silver
Warren Lincoln (8-0), Marysville High (9-1) and St. Clair Shores Lakeview (8-1) finished atop the Silver Division. Tied for fourth was Port Huron High and Clinton Township Clintondale at 3-5. Sterling Heights High finished 2-7 in the conference. League MVP went to D’Marco Singleton of Marysville.

The All-League team in the Bronze consists of Stephen Teasley amd Jamahl Trice, Warren Lincoln; Lucas Shock, Andrew Messina and Matthew Ritter, Lakeview; Jace Mullins Port Huron; Evan Woodward and Lawrence Smafield, Marysville; and Antonio Johnson, Clintondale.

 

MAC Bronze
Madison Heights Madison finished atop the Bronze at 6-3 in the league. Madison Heights Lamphere (4-4) and Center Line High (5-5) finished tied for second. Hazel Park High (1-6) and Marine City High (1-6) tied for fourth. Clawson High (1-8) finished in sixth.

The All-League team in the Bronze consists of Darnell Turner, Ahmaryon Rice and Keymon Wade, Center Line; Ky-Linn Price, Hazel Park; KJ Whiteman, Lamphere; Zac Foster, Clawson; Wyatt Walker, Marine City; and Malik Davis and Desmond Denham, Madison.
