The football postseason is well underway, and local squads have found varying degrees of success.

In Division 2, Walled Lake Western (10-0 overall at press time) downed Walled Lake Northern (6-4) 33-9 Oct. 30 at home. The first time these squads met, the Warriors only won by three points.

Western then hosted Birmingham Groves for the district title after press time. The winner hosts either Midland Dow or Fenton High for the regional title.

In D-3, Orchard Lake St. Mary’s (8-1) is looking to repeat as state champion. The Eaglets started by handling Bay City John Glenn 49-7 Oct. 30 at home. St. Mary’s then hosted Linden High after press time.

The winner takes on DeWitt High or St. Johns High. St. Mary’s would play host to St. Johns, but travel to DeWitt based on playoff points.

In D-1, West Bloomfield High’s season came to a close following a 31-28 loss to Novi High Oct. 30 at home.

West Bloomfield ended the year 9-1 overall and with an Oakland Activities Association Red Division championship to its credit.
