ROCHESTER HILLS — It was an all-around productive year for the boys tennis teams from Rochester Hills Stoney Creek, Rochester High, Rochester Adams and Auburn Hills Avondale, with accolades and league titles handed out.

In the Oakland Activities Association Red Division, Bloomfield Hills High took home the league title with a perfect 7-0 record. Stoney Creek finished 2-5 in league play and Adams was 0-7.

Regardless of the records, both schools had players earn All-Association honors. For Stoney Creek, Iskender Geldiyev made the list. He was also named honorable mention All-State in Division 1 in singles.

Also earning All-State honors for the Cougars were Nick Klack — who recently signed with Aquinas College — in singles, and Antonio Barretto and Brett Gurzell in doubles.

For Adams, senior Julian Hyman closed the book on his high school career with his name on the list for All-Association and All-State for singles.

“Julian is a very talented all-court player,” Adams coach Al Must said. “We play a top-tier schedule and Julian performed very well. He played (No. 1 singles) and faced the best players in Oakland County on a regular basis, which accounts for his 9-7 record. Julian is a player who enjoyed the team element and played hard every time he was on court.”

Rochester High captured the OAA White Division crown with a 4-0 record this season. The Falcons also won the league tournament by two points over West Bloomfield High. A number of players earned All-Association honors, as Kethan Gudi, Michael Randall, Vlad Meluta, Viraj Lilani, Jack Harding, Yash Kumar, Pranav Rajaram and Kurt Patalinghug all found spots on the team.

Meluta was also All-State in D-1 for singles.

Finally, in the OAA Blue Division, Avondale won the league title with a 6-0 record. The Yellowjackets, who also won the league championship with a narrow victory over Royal Oak High, had five players make the All-Association team: Nathan Reichenbach, Avhi Nuthalapati, Thomas Quach, Ben Gratsch and Max Mulka.
