METRO DETROIT — Girls tennis teams and players from across the state have battled through a rigorous regular season, and they can now set their sights on the playoffs.

The postseason begins with regional play, set for May 17, 18 or 19 at various sites. Following is a listing of the regionals featuring teams from the C & G Sports coverage area. The May 7 Michigan High School Tennis Association rankings are also noted in parentheses.

The top two teams in each regional earn automatic bids to their respective state final, with a chance of a third team if it earns 18 points. Individuals from nonqualifying teams can advance if they play in the final of the No. 1 singles bracket.

Regional match play typically begins at 9 a.m. but is subject to change. Contact the host site for more information.
