Offensive keys

While the Eagles only mustered 19.8 points per contest in 2017, it was a significant upgrade of the 2016 offense, which only managed 9.5 points per game. Southfield Christian had many peaks and valleys, topping 30 points three times but scoring 14 or less on five separate occasions.

A high-scoring offense may be crucial to compete with MIAC rivals like Rochester Hills Lutheran Northwest (41.6 points per game last season), Auburn Hills Oakland Christian (32.9) and Sterling Heights Parkway Christian (29.4).

Defensive keys

The defense struggled last year, giving up 38 points per affair. In three separate losses, the Eagles surrendered over 50 points.
