Grosse Pointe North vs. St. Clair: Scheduled for 7 p.m. Oct. 23 at St. Clair

In order to have any chance at a playoff berth, North, which comes into the game 4-4, needs a victory against St. Clair in the last regular-season game of the year for both programs.

Although six wins is the only guaranteed way to earn a spot in the playoffs, teams with five victories can still be selected for postseason play.

If the Norsemen can beat St. Clair, it would be their first victory outside of the Macomb Area Conference Blue Division, where they have a 4-1 record.

North's two-game winning streak was snapped last week with a 35-34 loss to Warren Cousino.

Over its last three contests, North has averaged 31 points a game.

North has played St. Clair each of the last two seasons, coming away with victories in both contests. Last season North defeated St. Clair 42-8.

St. Clair is out of playoff contention with an overall record of 3-5. The Saints are 1-4 in Macomb Area Conference Gold Division play.

In St. Clair's most recent game it lost to Marysville High 38-12.
