Catholic League releases football honor teams

METRO DETROIT — The Catholic High School League has released its annual list honoring athletes who made the honor teams. The teams are split up into three categories: All-Catholic, All-League and All-Academic.

As for the regular season standings, Novi Detroit Catholic Central led the Central Division with a 3-0 record. Following the Shamrocks was Birmingham Brother Rice (2-1), Warren De La Salle (1-2) and Orchard Lake St. Mary’s (0-3).

Detroit Loyola took the AA Division with a 4-0 record. Next in line was Detroit U-D Jesuit (1-2), Dearborn Divine Child (1-2), Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook-Kingswood (0-2) and Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard (0-0).

Riverview Gabriel Richard was on top in the Intersectional No. 1 Division at 3-0. Following was Madison Heights Bishop Foley (2-1), Macomb Lutheran North (1-2) and Grosse Pointe Woods University Liggett (0-3).

Finally, Clarkston Everest Finished atop the Intersectional No. 2 Division with a 3-0 record. Next was Royal Oak Shrine (3-1), Allen Park Cabrini (2-2), Marine City Cardinal Mooney (1-2) and Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes (0-4).
