DETROIT -- One year ago, Rochester High’s Kavan Troy failed to make it out of the district portion of the Division 1 individual wrestling playoffs. Now, with a pin over Davidson High’s Aden Williams with 53 seconds left in the third period, Troy is a D-1 state champion at 103 pounds.

BLOOMFIELD HILLS — The Bloomfield Hills Marian basketball team capped off an undefeated league season with a win over Dearborn Divine Child Feb. 23 at Calihan Hall on the campus of the University of Detroit Mercy. The Mustangs beat the Falcons 48-34 to claim the Catholic League AB Division title.
