ROCHESTER HILLS — The Village of Rochester Hills is continuing to grow its collection of retailers this spring and summer.

Margaux Keusch, the senior director of leasing for the outdoor retail center, said it has been a successful year of leasing amid COVID-19.

“It’s actually been a really good year for The Village, in terms of leasing activity and traffic,” she said. “There are many benefits of being an outdoor center, and I think it gives people more comfort to be able to shop outdoors, and retailers are recognizing that. There is a big push in the industry for these outdoor centers, so for us it’s been really good to add more stores.”

The newest kid on the block is Busted Bra Shop, which plans to hold a grand opening April 28.

Busted owner Lee Padgett, of Detroit, said she is thrilled to add a new location at The Village of Rochester Hills to her existing collection of two stores in Detroit, one in Ann Arbor and one in Chicago.

“It’s a pleasant and lovely place to be. It feels like a neighborhood,” Padgett said of The Village.

Busted Bra Shop is a specialized, custom fit, inclusive lingerie boutique that carries intimate apparel, including bras, lingerie, panties, shapewear, hosiery and some swimwear in a wide range of sizes.

“We have people who drive for hours to get to us,” said Padgett. “There are a lot of lingerie addicts out there, and we like to satisfy their needs.”

Beautiphi Aesthetics & Wellness recently relocated from its former location at Tienken and Rochester roads to The Village of Rochester Hills. Beautiphi — which specializes in nonsurgical facial and body rejuvenation services — was founded by Rochester resident Kelly Hermans, a certified nurse anesthetist. Hermans is also the founder of Beautiphi Academy, a national training academy in which she teaches and mentors other certified registered nurse anesthetists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and physicians.

“Kelly is known, really around the country, for her training programs on a number of medically based procedures,” Keusch said.

Beautiphi offers a variety of services that help with antiaging, treating age spots, acne, acne scars, and more, including: anti-wrinkle injections, chemical peels, derma fillers, laser hair removal, skin tightening, microneedling, vampire facials, laser services and more, according to Hermans.

“We actually sit down with you and come up with a 12-month plan based on your skin goals, so you leave with a plan and you know how much it’s going to cost, and there are no surprises. People love that,” said Hermans. “We spend a lot of time with our patients, and we’re huge on education.”

Beautiphi Aesthetics & Wellness will open at the beginning of May, and a grand opening celebration is planned for June 17.

Sundance Catalog — Robert Redford’s iconic American lifestyle retailer of men’s and women’s apparel, jewelry, footwear, accessories and home furnishings — will open at The Village in May.

“This will be the first and only Sundance Catalog store in Michigan,” Keusch said.

YogaSix — a national boutique yoga studio that delivers six core classes for all ages, shapes, sizes, genders and athletic abilities — will open in July.

Midwest department store Von Maur will open in March 2022. Keusch said Von Maur offers fashion-forward apparel, an expansive shoe department, accessories, beauty items and gifts.

And there are many more negotiations in the works for new tenants at The Village, Keutsch said.

“Besides the stores we’ve mentioned, we actually have deals that have not been announced yet, but we have four other leases out, including a restaurant that we haven’t announced,” she said. “We are just really excited, because The Village is in the right place, right time and the numbers coming out of the stores have been great. Our foot traffic has been really good, and our community events and our marketing initiatives are really adding excitement to the center.”

The Village of Rochester Hills is located at the southeast corner of Walton Boulevard and Adams Road. For more information about upcoming events, visit www.villageofrochesterhills.com.
