ROSEVILLE — Authorities said that a Roseville police car was struck by another vehicle after the other vehicle ran through a red light.

The incident occurred at approximately 8 p.m. Jan. 23. The Roseville Police Department said the patrol car was heading south on Gratiot Avenue when a Chevy S-10 pickup truck turning onto Utica Road from northbound Gratiot Avenue failed to stop at a red light at the intersection. Police said the pickup struck the patrol car, and the pickup flipped onto its side as a result.

The patrol car contained one officer, and the pickup contained one driver. No injuries were reported, police said. Police added that there was no indication of intoxication or drug use, and no arrests were made.

Two lanes of southbound Gratiot were closed at Utica, and Utica was closed at Gratiot, during the investigation. Both roadways were reopened to traffic by 9:15 p.m.
