Three people in serious condition following Woodward Avenue crash

FERNDALE — Three people involved in a single-vehicle crash on Eight Mile Road are in serious condition.

At approximately 5 a.m. Nov. 17, Ferndale police officers responded to a crash at westbound Eight Mile Road near Flowerdale Street. According to the press release, the vehicle contained the driver and two passengers. All three suffered serious injuries and were taken to a local hospital, where police said they were in critical condition.

Police also stated that the vehicle involved in the crash had been reported stolen the previous day, Nov. 16, in Redford Township. The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office’s accident investigators assisted Ferndale at the scene with the investigation.

Eight Mile was closed down to one-lane traffic for several hours in the aftermath of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation. The Ferndale Police Department could not be reached for an update on the status of the three persons involved in the incident. Check back to candgnews.com for updates.
