The Friday 5 — April 10-12

Your guide to staying at home this weekend

C&G Newspapers | Published April 9, 2020

For this week’s stay-at-home edition of the Friday 5, we asked C & G staffers for their top video game recommendations for another weekend inside. Here are their suggestions:

1. 1980s classics

Now is the time to go back to the ’80s with Nintendo Classic. Super Mario Bros., the Legend of Zelda and Double Dragon are still fun decades later, no streaming necessary.

— Kristyne E. Demske, Staff Writer

2. Falcon Age

My husband and I have been enjoying training our falcons and following the storyline in Falcon Age for the PS4. The VR headset and controllers make for an immersive experience and transport us to a futuristic desertscape.

— Sarah Wojcik, Staff Writer

3. Rotation of new and old

Going back and forth on a bunch of things, but current rotation is Rocket League, Final Fantasy VII, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Cuphead and, weirdly, a lot of Solitaire on my phone.

— Mike Koury, Staff Writer

4. Lego Jurassic World

Or as it’s known in my house, “the dinosaur game.” This is a great one to play with and around kids. They enjoy the co-op play ability, and all the Lego cinematic cut scenes.

— Jon Malavolti, Editor

5. Call of Duty

Had to say it.
