FARMINGTON — Police are looking for a man who allegedly entered an unlocked home and was confronted by a resident recently.

According to a news release from Farmington Public Safety Cmdr. Justin DuLong, the incident occurred at around 3:40 p.m. March 21.

DuLong said in the release that a “suspicious male” entered an unlocked home in the 21000 block of Birchwood Street and was confronted by a teenage resident of the home.

The man immediately fled the scene once he was confronted, police said.

The suspect is described as a thin white man with short, dark brown or black hair. He had a “scruffy” goatee and was wearing a dirty black jacket with a hood.

Police said residents should keep their doors locked at all times and should report any suspicious activity to the police.
